Architectural Panel Systems and Their Advantages

There was a time when metal buildings were considered cheap, but with modern techniques and materials, they are now a popular option when it comes to a building project. Metal panels are not available in different colors, textures, styles and even types of metal. There are also composite metal systems, and insulated panels are also available. Panels can also be used for roof systems, whether the walls are or not. There are several advantages to this type of building.

  • Easy of installation. Metal panels are fairly easy to install, making the building project go much faster than it would otherwise. It can be done with less labor, less time and that results in lower cost.
  • Durability. Metal is tough, and more durable than many building materials. Metal panels don't crack, chip or fade over time like many building materials do.
  • Low maintenance. Metal lasts a very long time, so there is very little maintenance needed. Other materials, like wood, concrete or masonry, often require maintenance and your costs never end. Maintenance costs are virtually nonexistent with a metal panel system.
  • Lots of price options. There are a wide range of options and price points to choose from.
  • Surface options. Metal panels are available in many textures and finishes, so it can look the way you want it to look. Painted or coated panels give you a lot of options as far as appearance. Smooth, ridged, or embossed textures are just a few of the options.
  • Sizes of panels. You have a lot of options because panels are available in many sizes and shapes. You can get them horizontal, vertical, and in just about any shape for the design you want.
